Arlie Ricasa Bagaporo
Born and raised in the San Diego, Arlie is the youngest of 10 children of her late parents Narciso, a retired US Navy man, and Antonia a retired teacher who immigrated from the Philippines to the US in the late 1950’s. She attended Mar Vista High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counselor Education from SDSU. She currently works as a counselor in the EOPS program at Southwestern College and is the Advisor for the Bayan Student Organization. It is her 31st year at SWC. Recently, Arlie has become a COPE Certified Health Coach working with people to transform their lives one healthy habit at a time.
Her husband, Ed Bagaporo, and she have been married 26 years and are blessed with 5 beautiful children: Natalie who graduated from UCLA and is in her Master’s program at SDSU, Antonette who is a senior at UCSD, Elayna who is second year at Southwestern College, Edelina who is a senior at Bonita Vista High and EJ who is a sophomore at BVH as well.
